At Bandag, we’re committed to the protection of the
environment, which is why we’ve integrated environmental
management into all our processes. Our goal is to minimize
or eliminate negative impacts on employees, communities,
and the environment by:
- Providing resources to achieve policy goals
- Complying with relevant environmental regulations
- Continually improving environmental performance and preventing
pollution through:
- evaluation of potential environmental impacts in
the design phase of facilities, products and processes
- elimination of, or reduction in, the use of hazardous
materials
- development of environmental knowledge among employees
and customers, encouraging them to apply this knowledge
in the workplace
- use of a waste management hierarchy of source reduction
followed by recycling, incineration, and land filling
- participation in legislative developments affecting
operations and collaborating with other organizations
on environmental issues
